Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Clean Kit โ€“ Storage Cleaner ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Clean Kit is a mobile application that helps users manage and optimize storage on iOS devices. The App provides the following features:

All processing is performed entirely on your device. The App operates fully offline and makes no network requests. No photos, videos, or personal data are uploaded to any server.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

5.1 Free and Premium Features

The App provides certain features at no cost. Additional premium features are available through an optional auto-renewable subscription called "Clean Kit Pro."

5.3 Payment

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All payments are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.

5.4 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.

5.5 Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

5.6 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly stated at the point of subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. At the end of the free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

5.7 Refunds

All purchases and refunds are governed by Apple's App Store policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support directly. We do not process refunds.

5.8 Restore Purchases

You may restore previously purchased subscriptions at any time using the "Restore" option within the App. This allows you to recover your subscription on new devices or after reinstalling the App.

6. User Responsibilities and Data

6.1 Your Decisions, Your Responsibility

The App provides tools, analysis, and recommendations to help you manage your photo library and device storage. All decisions to delete, compress, or convert media are made solely by you. The App does not automatically delete, modify, or alter any content without your explicit confirmation. You are solely responsible for any actions you take using the App.

6.2 Backup Recommendation

We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your photo library and device data via iCloud or other backup solutions before using any cleanup, compression, or conversion features.

6.3 Deletion Safety

Items deleted through the App are moved to the "Recently Deleted" album in Apple's Photos app, where they remain recoverable for approximately 30 days before permanent removal by iOS. The App does not bypass or override this safety mechanism. However, once items are permanently removed from the Recently Deleted album (either automatically after 30 days or manually by you), they cannot be recovered by us or anyone else.

6.4 Video Compression

Compressed videos are saved as new files in your photo library. The original video is preserved unless you explicitly choose to delete it. Compression results may vary depending on the source video's codec, resolution, bitrate, and existing compression level. Estimated savings displayed in the App are approximations and may differ from actual results.

6.5 Live Photo Conversion

Converting Live Photos to still images creates new still image files. The original Live Photo is preserved unless you explicitly choose to delete it. Certain Live Photo effects (Loop, Bounce, Long Exposure) may be lost upon conversion.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, features, trademarks, and logos of the App are the property of the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the App beyond the limited license in Section 3.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The App provides recommendations based on algorithmic analysis. Results may vary.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER OF THE APP AND ITS AFFILIATES AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS, OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY SHALL BE ZERO.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ALL DELETION, COMPRESSION, AND CONVERSION ACTIONS ARE INITIATED SOLELY BY YOU, AND THAT WE BEAR NO LIABILITY FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR DECISIONS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of the App from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) any content you delete, compress, or convert using the App.

11. Third-Party Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA shall prevail with respect to matters it governs.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to furnish maintenance, support, or warranty services for the App. Any claims relating to the App or your use of it are our responsibility, not Apple's, except as required by applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for breach of these Terms. You may terminate your use at any time by deleting the App from your device. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15 shall survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the App.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
